Panel 95: A critical appraisal of Lusofonia as seen through cultural practices in Portuguese-speaking Africa (Marissa Moorman)

Panel Organiser: Marissa Moorman

This panel critically explores cultural practices (cinema, narration, music, painting and photography) in Portuguese-speaking African countries. These papers interrogate the concept of a ‘lusophone community’ by pointing to other social, economic, political, linguistic and cultural processes that cultural producers mobilize to articulate themselves in sub-national, national, regional, transnational and global terms.
