In Darfur (Sudan) a fierce fight is fought over consolidating or reshuffling the cards in the game of power. It is not clear if the rebel movements can accomplish their aim to gain access to more political and economic power for the whole region. The only sure outcome is that the social fabric is destroyed and nothing will be as before.
