Panel 2: Alternative Economic Spaces: Africa's Emerging Markets (Caryn Abrahams)

Panel organiser: Caryn Abrahams

This panel includes papers based on (but not limited to) empirical research focused on economic spaces in Emerging Markets. Socially/politically embedded, and contextually particular research will shape a body of work on emerging market economies. The academic aim is to re-conceptualise Africa’s economic spaces toward a larger focus on emerging markets. This will have implications for broader studies in economic development and political-economy that must reckon with Africa's economic spaces.
