The interdisciplinary panel aims at discussing the nexus of territoriality and conflict and at rethinking ‘space’ in the region of the wider Horn of Africa, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan. It invites scholars from a range of disciplines, including anthropology, political science, history and social psychology, who will present field based studies on the topic of regional interrelations and conflicts, seen from the entry point of contested spaces.
