Panel 13: Space and Place in African Sports (Susann Baller)

Panel Organiser: Susann Baller

This panel examines different dimensions of space and place in African sports. It questions how specific places of sports are produced and perceived as sites of sociability and representation and how these sites are part of broader landscapes of experience on a local, national and transnational level. It analyses built and constructed as well as experienced and imagined spaces and places of sports in Africa through interdisciplinary approaches.
