East Africa faces contradictory challenges, between economic development and environmental management, between the strengthening of the identities and geographical mobility, between integration and increase of social and spatial inequalities, etc. The project further regional integration and bi-regional cooperation through foci which give direction and impetus to the multiple activities which are intended to develop research capacity and collaboration.
