“Iman” is the story of four men and women from different walks of life. Despite their different backgrounds and circumstances, they share one common destiny; they are drawn into the world of violent extremism. Based on real events and personal stories, this intervention film induces the debate on prevention of violent extremism in the present-day challenges. This film is an essential part of the current global UNDP campaign PAVE (Partnering against violence and extremism).

The screening is followed by a discussion on the impact of culture initiatives in preventing violence and extremism.

Discussion: Ahmed Abdel Mohsen (Swiss Initiative), Marc Bundi (Université de Neuchâtel), Sandra Gysi (Swiss Initiative, Cairo); Moderation Daniel Hitzig (Alliance Sud)
