The Faculty of History, Arts and Oriental Studies, Institute of African Studies announces the following position to be appointed by 01.03.2017:
 

Wissenschaftliche/-r Mitarbeiter/-in (Lecturer)
 

0.75 FTE; appointment dependant on qualification goals, remuneration on salary scale TVL-13
 

Duties:
 

- Research related to questions of development in Africa

- Teaching in the areas of economics and development in Africa (3 SWS) on BA and MA level

- Academic career development (Habilitation/2nd Book, publication, acquisition of research funds, didactic training)
 

Requirements:
 

- PhD in Development History/Development Economics/Development Anthropology/Development Sociology or cognate discipline

- Research specialisation on Southern Africa

- Convincing research plan

- Teaching experience

- Fluent in English and fluent in German, or willingness to acquire German up to a level appropriate for teaching

- Ability to work as part of a team
