Social science research related to Africa and African Studies is at the heart of our mandate. AEGIS provides opportunities for researchers to disseminate and exchange their findings through its conferences and publication series, and facilitates collaboration and research activities through its thematic Collaborative Research Groups (CRGs), conferences and summer schools. Eligibility and membership requirements for AEGIS events and networks vary but the overall ambition is to bring researchers together across institutions, countries, continents, and disciplines; to create synergies and inspire in-depth reflection.
