Countdown to ECAS - part one

Cultural anthropologist fil dr. Tea Virtanen, whose current research focuses on local Islam and the situation of pastoralists in West/Central Africa. At NAI she belongs to the research cluster Rural and Agrarian Change, Property and Resources. Together with Dr Roman Loimeier of the University of Göttingen she is organizing an ECAS discussion panel entitled “Ritual, Authority and Innovation in African Muslim Communities”.
