CESSMA is a mixed research unit established in 2014 with triple supervision: the University of Paris Diderot (today University of Paris), the National Institute of Oriental Languages ​​and Civilizations (Inalco), the Research Institute for Development (IRD). The unit's mission is to analyse the historical and spatial configurations of the dynamics of development and globalisation.
